We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cath Lab Technician to join our advanced cardiovascular care team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in interventional radiology, cardiac catheterization, and telemetry monitoring, with a comprehensive understanding of cardiovascular physiology and medical terminology. As a vital member of our catheterization laboratory, you will support diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This role offers an opportunity to work within a state-of-the-art cath lab at a Level I Trauma Center, providing critical care in emergency medicine and trauma situations. Duties Prepare the catheterization laboratory for procedures by ensuring all equipment is sterile, functional, and ready for use. Assist physicians during interventional radiology, cardiac catheterization, and interventional cardiology procedures by managing equipment and supplies. Monitor patient vital signs continuously during procedures, documenting physiological data accurately for diagnostic evaluation. Maintain strict aseptic technique to prevent infection and ensure patient safety throughout all procedures. Operate sonography equipment when necessary to assist with imaging guidance during interventions. Support emergency medicine protocols by responding swiftly to trauma cases and assisting in emergent interventions within a Level I Trauma Center setting. Educate patients about procedures, ensuring they are informed and comfortable while maintaining professionalism and compassion. Adhere to all safety protocols related to anatomy knowledge, physiology, and medical terminology to facilitate accurate diagnostics and treatment. Skills Extensive knowledge of interventional radiology techniques and cardiac catheterization procedures. Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of vital signs in real-time. Strong understanding of cardiovascular physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to cath lab operations. Experience with interventional cardiology procedures within a Level II trauma center environment is preferred. Skilled in aseptic technique to maintain sterile fields during invasive procedures. Familiarity with sonography technology used for diagnostic imaging during interventions. Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations efficiently while supporting complex emergency responses in a high-pressure setting.
