Successful members are resilient, honest, dependable, and genuinely concerned in aiding in the wellness of the feedyard cattle population. Doctoring Crew members will work closely with all feedyard departments and veterinarian both as an individual and as a member of a team to establish the highest quality care and maintenance of the feedyard to ensure the welfare of livestock while contributing to the overall success of the feedyard team. Roles and Tasks Adheres to Beef Quality Assurance standards and practices Properly administering prescribed treatment and medication to livestock Properly handling of all medications and medical supplies associated with feedyard cattle health requirements Maintain related equipment and facilities utilized by feedyard livestock Responsible for determining mortality and recording information in the feedyard animal health records Accountable for recording the pen number and ear tag number in the feedyard record system Maintain Accurate records and deliver proper notification off all pertinent data Recognize sick cattle and determine and aid in the diagnosis of illness Maintain sanitary and clean working facilities Clean and maintain sick pen water troughs daily Continual observance and adherence of all safety policies and procedures Promote, support, and participate in all company policies, procedures and programs Other duties and job assignments are necessary for feedyard effectivenessSpecific Knowledge:
