Job Description

Red Wagon Children's Therapy is seeking compassionate, play-based therapists to provide Community-Based Rehabilitative Services (CBRS) / Developmental Play Therapy to infants and toddlers (birth to three) with developmental delays and special needs. Current need is in Cleveland, Gaston, Lincoln, Polk, Rutherford Counties. Please only apply if you are interested in serving these areas. This is a contract (1099) position offering excellent flexibility, supportive leadership, and the opportunity to grow a caseload over time. Position Overview The CBRS / Developmental Play Therapist provides family-centered, evidence-based early intervention services in children's natural environments. Therapists partner with caregivers to support developmental outcomes outlined on each child's Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). Essential Duties & Responsibilities Provide early intervention services to infants and toddlers (birth-3) with developmental delays or special needs Deliver services in the child's natural environment (home, childcare, playground, community settings, etc.) Implement evidence-based, play-based and developmental therapy interventions Meet with families based on the frequency and intensity outlined in the IFSP Collaborate with IFSP team members, service coordinators, and other professionals Attend and participate in team meetings and professional conferences as needed Provide parent coaching, feedback, and skill-building to promote carryover between visits Complete accurate and timely documentation Seek consultation and support from leadership for complex cases Maintain strong verbal and written communication with families and team members Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education Service Area Service area currently needed are Cleveland, Gaston, Lincoln, Polk, Rutherford Counties Caseloads are assigned with location preference in mind whenever possible to reduce travel time Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in one of the following (or a closely related human services field): Birth-Kindergarten Education Early Childhood Special Education Special Education Education / Elementary Education Child Development Child & Family Studies Counseling Human Development & Family Relations Family Studies Family & Consumer Sciences Nursing Psychology Social Work Or another related human services field Minimum 1 year of experience in early intervention Experience with I FSPs, coaching models, and natural learning environment practices Knowledge of child development, family systems, and evidence-based early intervention practices Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Background check required
