  • Full-time Job Overview This is a full-time, on-site role located in Garfield Heights, OH, for a Certified Drug & Alcohol Counselor (CDCA), specifically for our Therapeutic Behavioral Services or TBS.
In this position, the CDCA will provide case management, conduct assessments, and implement evidence-based treatment plans. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate client records, facilitating progress reviews, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care. The counselor will also educate clients about substance use and support their development of recovery strategies. We have two positions available for second shift: Monday
  • Friday 3 p.
m. to 11 p.m., one for the women's group and one for the men's group. Responsibilities Certification as a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) in the state of Ohio (QMHS is a plus) Skills in case management, individualized treatment planning, Assessments, and the ASAM criteria Knowledge of addiction treatment approaches, including evidence-based practices, and experience educating clients about substance use and recovery Proficiency in maintaining detailed and accurate documentation as part of client care Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Basic proficiency in common office software and systems for record-keeping (Kipu EMR) Ability to adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain client confidentiality Previous experience in a clinical or behavioral health setting is preferred High school diploma or equivalent required; additional relevant education or training is a plus Experience Proven experience working with adults struggling with SUD and M/H in clinical or outpatient settings Demonstrated proficiency behavioral health interventions Familiarity Assessments, treatment plans and the ASAM Criteria Hands-on experience in crisis management, behavior management techniques Join us to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through compassionate care and innovative treatment approaches.
