CDL A Feed Mill Truck Driver/ Home Daily

Job Summary We are looking for a reliable and experienced CDL A Feed Mill Truck Driver to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to operate a tractor-trailer and deliver feed products efficiently and safely, with the benefit of being home daily. You will be responsible for transporting feed from the mill to various locations (farms), ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining safety standards on every trip. Duties Operate a commercial tractor-trailer to transport feed across designated routes within 150 mile radius of feed mill. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations. Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime. Drive route driving assignments safely while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch for scheduling updates. Off load feed (automated) , which will require maneuvering around silo/ feed container entrances and/or hatches. Clean any spills of feed in compliance with policies. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with 2 years experience in commercial driving, preferably with delivery driver experience in freight transportation. Knowledge of safety regulations related to trucking, including DOT compliance and proper vehicle inspection procedures. Strong driving skills with a focus on route driving and maintaining safety at all times. Good communication skills for effective coordination with dispatch and customers. Physical ability to perform load securement tasks and perform routine vehicle inspections.
