On-the-job training Growth opportunities Commitment to excellence Commitment to safety Overview Yoder Pallet Company Logistics is seeking an experienced CDL A driver to operate between our two locations in Swanton MD and in Points WV. This position will haul products such as finished pallets, lumber, and/or waste products such as mulch and sawdust. 95% of deliveries for this position will be within 300 miles of the base facility. The ideal candidate will be flexible, hardworking, dependable, and have experience driving a manual transmission and delivering freight. Pay is determined by mileage and freight cost and can vary based on distance or material being transported. Responsibilities Safely operate a tractor-trailer with manual transmission across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Handle a variety of equipment such as van trailers and flatbeds to transport lumber and pallets. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards Manage route driving responsibilities, including planning optimal delivery routes and maintaining accurate logs Deliver freight promptly while providing excellent customer service during pickups and drop-offs Maintain communication with dispatchers regarding delivery status, traffic conditions, and any issues encountered during routes Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and recent experience operating tractor-trailers. Valid Medical Certificate. Proven experience in commercial driving. Familiarity with operating manual transmission trucks and various equipment such as flatbeds and van trailers. Ability to perform physical tasks related to freight handling and vehicle inspections. Knowledge of safety protocols related to trucking operations and cargo securement. Expected Compensation:

Primarily commission based; hourly rate $25/hr $900+ per week expected - not guaranteed

Interview Process:

Selected applicants will be required to complete an in-person job tryout as part of the interview process. This is not an offer of employment.
