Job Description

Job Summary:
This is a 1099 position We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and products from one location to another. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our customers. This is not a hard labor position, it's a curbside drop-off with a forklift.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate a variety of commercial vehicles with truck mounted forklifts, straight trucks, and tractor-trailers, in accordance with federal and state regulations.
  • Unload cargo safely and efficiently with forklift.
  • Drive vehicles to and from delivery sites, ensuring that all products are delivered on time and in good condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of delivery routes, cargo, and driver logs.
  • Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including cleaning, checking tire pressure, and reporting any issues to the maintenance team.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Unload heavy equipment and materials using a forklift, and operate heavy equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Drive vehicles in various weather conditions and ensure that all safety precautions are taken to prevent accidents.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and other team members.
  • Comply with all commercial driving regulations and ensure that all vehicles are properly licensed and insured.
Requirements:
  • A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) A
  • A strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and the ability to operate a vehicle in a safe and responsible manner.
  • The ability to lift and move heavy equipment and cargo, and to operate heavy equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to communicate effectively with customers and other team members.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience driving a vehicle with a manual transmission, but most trucks are automatic.
  • Experience operating a forklift.
  • Experience with delivery driving and route optimization.
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment physical exam and to obtain a DOT physical exam within the first 60 days of employment.
