2015 Certified and E.O.E. Benco Steel offers daily deliveries to areas within 100 miles of Hickory, NC. Our capabilities include processing and fabrication services; sawing, burning, shearing, breaking, punching, welding, and painting. Benco Steel is in need of an experienced CDL class A Drivers to start training immediately .

Job Summary:

A BENCO driver is home every night. Our delivery schedule is Monday-Friday. As a driver you will be primarily responsible for the effective, efficient, and safe transport of materials from BENCO Steel's base of operations to the customer's location. You will be required to properly record all starts and stops as well as any unusual events and/or issues occurring on the assigned route. The driver is the custodian of the customer's material until the material is off-loaded at the customer's location. As such, the driver ensures the material is secured and maintained in top quality condition during delivery. This includes the use of tie-down apparatus as well as protective coverings during periods of inclement weather or traveling on road conditions that would cause the material to rust. Benco Drivers are required to report to work by 6:30 AM and complete the run on a daily basis. All daily runs are set up to be manageable with DOT regulations. Our drivers average between 45-50 hours per week.

Pay Rate:

Starting Rate of $26.00/Hour (time and ½ after 40 hours) Paid Weekly. Reviewed annually.

(Education) MINIMUM - High school diploma. Demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers and fractions. Demonstrated ability to coherently speak and write in the English language. Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend the meaning of notices, bulletins, and directions written or verbally issued in the English language. Steel service center experience is a plus.
