CDL Class A Truck Driver

We are seeking a reliable and experienced CDL Class A Truck Driver to transport sod, grass seed, and bulk wholesale lawn care products to customers across Long Island. This role involves local deliveries, ensuring timely and safe transportation while maintaining excellent customer service. Responsibilities Operate commercial trucks to deliver sod and other products to wholesalers, landscapers, and homeowners. Load and unload materials using forklifts or other equipment as needed. Ensure timely deliveries while following designated routes and schedules. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues. Follow all DOT and company safety regulations and procedures. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and mileage logs. Assist in the yard with organizing and preparing shipments when not on delivery. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements other vehicle types. Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safety. Proven experience driving tractor-trailers or flatbed trucks preferred. Experience with route driving and knowledge of local roadways is preferred. Ability to operate forklifts or willingness to obtain forklift certification. Strong time management skills and ability to follow delivery schedules. Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) as needed during loading/unloading processes. $31.00 - $37.00 per hour
