CDL Driver Class A

• NOTE:

  Traveling is required and applicants whom are not willing to travel will not be considered for this position

• Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a variety of trucks, including flatbeds, roll off trucks, and dump trucks.
• Transport goods and materials to designated locations.
• Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other appropriate equipment.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Inspect vehicles before and after each trip to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.

Experience:

• At least 2 year with tractor trailer required within the last 5 years
• Familiarity with automotive repair and maintenance is a plus.
• Familiarity with the scrap industry is a plus.

Skills:

• Proficient in operating various types of trucks, including flatbeds, roll off trucks, and dump trucks.
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
• Excellent time management, organizational skills and ability to remain flexible as work flow changes.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate recordkeeping.

Requirements:

• Valid CDL Class A license-Driver must have the ability to drive a manual transmission
• Must be able to pass a background check, physical and drug screening
• Driver must not have more than 2 tickets and/or accidents within the last 5 years to be considered for this position.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
• Ability to get in and out of truck constantly throughout the work day.
