Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and familiarity with medical records management. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry and pediatrics. Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Take and develop X-rays as needed while adhering to safety protocols. Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records and ensure they are up-to-date and organized. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing instruments and cleaning work areas. Collaborate with team members to enhance patient experience and office efficiency. Experience Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Familiarity with dental terminology, systems, and infection control protocols is essential. Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality is required. Ability to perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and managing medical records effectively.
