CDL Driver - Metal Recycling Facility Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, safety‐focused CDL Driver to join our metal recycling team in Rogers, AR. This role involves transporting scrap metal, operating heavy equipment as needed, and representing our company with professionalism at customer sites and recycling yards. Ability to drive a standard/manual transmission and experience with both older and newer trucks are required. Drivers must also consistently use proper PPE and be comfortable working in all weather conditions . Monday- Friday 7:00a-4:30p Key Responsibilities Safely operate company trucks (manual transmission required), including older and newer models , to transport scrap metal between customer locations and processing facilities Perform daily pre‐trip and post‐trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations Load and unload materials using roll‐off, dump, or flatbed equipment Maintain accurate logs, delivery tickets, and weight documentation Follow all facility safety rules, traffic laws, and environmental guidelines Communicate effectively with dispatch, scale personnel, and customers Assist in yard operations when needed (spotting trailers, staging loads, light equipment operation) Wear required PPE at all times, including hard hat , steel‐toed boots , and high‐visibility vest Work safely and efficiently in all weather conditions , including heat, cold, rain, and snow . Required Qualifications Valid CDL Class A Ability to drive a standard/manual transmission Experience operating both older and newer trucks Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT drug/alcohol screening Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor industrial environments Commitment to safety, PPE compliance, and environmental standards Preferred Skills Experience in metal recycling , waste hauling, or industrial transportation Familiarity with scrap metal types and yard procedures Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting older and newer truck systems Work Environment & Schedule Outdoor industrial environment with exposure to weather, noise, and heavy equipment Full‐time schedule with potential overtime Early morning start times typical
