Duties Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks, including manual transmission tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Deliver freight accurately along assigned routes while adhering to schedules and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards. Manage different types of cargo including refrigerated goods, bulk liquids in tankers, heavy loads on flatbeds, or roll-off containers. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, load details, route information, and inspection reports. Communicate effectively with dispatch to coordinate deliveries and report any issues or delays promptly. Experience Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a focus on route driving and freight delivery. Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission vehicles safely and efficiently. Experience driving various types of trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is highly preferred. Familiarity with load & unload procedures using forklifts or other equipment. Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight handling. Valid CDL license with the appropriate endorsements for the types of vehicles operated (e.g., tanker endorsement if applicable).
