2/29/2024 Position Overview The Dry Bulk Cement Driver will be responsible for hauling/operating pneumatic tankers for the purpose of loading, off-loading and the safe delivery of dry bulk cement to various locations within the Ready Mix Concrete Division. The position will also require the operation of various pieces of equipment for loading and unloading. Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) The criteria for evaluation in this position include but are not limited to the following: Maintains awareness of OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) and DOT regulations. Works as a team member with other employees within the facility to ensure a smooth and safe operation. Safely load, secure, deliver, and unload bulk cement per Shelly Safety standards. Perform daily pre-trip inspections, maintain DOT Log Book, and complete required paperwork. Assist with equipment maintenance as needed. Comply with Federal and State of Ohio rules and regulations as well as posted traffic signage. Equipment moves will be scheduled according to work needs. This may require multiple shift (day or night), weekend, and holiday work. Performs any other miscellaneous duties as requested by the Plant Manager/ Superintendent/ Foreperson.

Other Requirements:

Shall hold and maintain an active Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times. Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required. Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary. Work may require occasional travel out-of division and out-of state. Report to the assigned job site ready to begin work at the designated start time. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Manual of Safety Practices and Procedures. Strict adherence to Shelly Company policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Book of Policies. Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required. Timely and regular attendance is an expectation of performance for all Shelly Company employees. Employees will be held accountable for adhering to their workplace schedule.
