Grow. Serve the Community White Earth Enterprises (WEE) is seeking a mission-driven and strategic Executive Director to lead a diverse portfolio of tribally owned businesses. This leadership role is an opportunity to strengthen economic development, support tribal sovereignty, and ensure long-term sustainability for the White Earth community. About the Role The Executive Director is responsible for the overall leadership and management of White Earth Enterprises, including White Earth Building Supplies, White Earth Office Supplies, White Earth Builders, White Earth Sanitation, and Highway 59 Homes. Reporting to the Board of Directors, this role ensures all business operations align with the Tribe's mission, values, and strategic goals while delivering strong financial and operational performance. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic plans that support economic growth and tribal priorities Oversee daily operations across all business units through direct leadership of Business Managers Establish strong organizational systems, policies, and processes to support growth and efficiency Lead financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and asset protection Recruit, develop, and lead high-performing teams while supporting workforce development within the community Maintain transparent communication and reporting with the Board of Directors Ensure compliance with tribal, federal, and state regulations Promote cultural values, ethical leadership, and community engagement in all operations Leadership & Cultural Commitment This role requires a leader who respects and supports tribal sovereignty, understands the importance of cultural values, and is committed to building long-term economic opportunities for the White Earth Nation. The Executive Director will foster a culture of respect, accountability, and community impact across all operations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, management, or related field; 10 years of progressive leadership experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience managing multiple business units or divisions Strong financial, operational, and strategic leadership skills Experience working with Boards of Directors or governance bodies Background in construction, contracting, or engineering preferred Experience working in or with tribal organizations is highly preferred Work Environment This position operates primarily in a professional office setting with regular interaction with staff, customers, and community members. Occasional travel is required for business operations, recruitment, and community engagement.
