Growth opportunities On-the-job training Must have vehicle repair experience from a professional repair shop. The auto technician is responsible for diagnosing and servicing issues with a variety of vehicles. They must use their knowledge of automotive systems and technology to resolve vehicle issues and check maintenance items such as safety items, fluid levels and maintenance reminders. The technician interacts with customers directly at times. The technician will need to be motivated to fix vehicles with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

Drive to and from the repair shop using a vehicle that conforms safely to all applicable laws. Repair cars based on customer specifications. Demonstrate the proper use of tools and equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with vehicles. Follow all legal regulations for driving all vehicles. Be able to explain the issues with the car to the customer. Understand the basics of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
