Job Description
Overview Join our compassionate team as a Certified Caregiver, where your dedication and expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care and support. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality assistance to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those in assisted living or long-term care settings. Your energy, empathy, and attention to detail will foster a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment for residents and clients alike. Duties Assist residents and clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's disease and dementia management strategies Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and wheelchairs to promote safe mobility Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and preferences Maintain detailed documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems for accurate health tracking Engage residents in social activities and recreational programs to promote mental well-being Follow infection control procedures by cleaning and sanitizing care areas regularly Support residents' emotional needs through active listening, companionship, and behavior management techniques Assist with transportation needs by driving residents to appointments or community outings when required Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to coordinate comprehensive care plans Skills Proven experience in senior care, assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments Strong knowledge of ADLs assistance techniques and dementia or Alzheimer's care practices Ability to monitor vital signs accurately and recognize signs of health deterioration Experience with medication administration following strict safety protocols Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and record keeping Excellent communication skills to effectively support residents' physical and emotional needs Ability to operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts safely and confidently Knowledge of behavior management strategies for individuals with developmental disabilities or memory impairments Valid driver's license for driving responsibilities related to resident transportation when necessary Demonstrated caregiving skills with a compassionate approach that fosters trust and independence Join us in creating a nurturing environment where every individual receives respectful, personalized care.
