Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist, providing expert support across elementary, middle, and high school settings. In this dynamic role, you'll collaborate closely with educators, students, and families to facilitate academic and personal success for learners of all ages, including targeted 1:1 therapy when needed.
Key Qualifications:
Active SLP licensure and certification required Experience supporting students in elementary, middle, and high school environments Strong understanding of speech, language, and communication disorders in children and adolescents Ability to deliver both group and one-on-one therapy in accordance with IEPs Effective interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and families Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaging school culture
Role Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and communicate findings with teachers, families, and school teams Develop, implement, and track individualized treatment plans, ensuring compliance with all guidelines Deliver direct therapy—both 1:1 and in group settings—to address a wide range of speech and language needs Monitor student progress and document outcomes clearly and accurately Participate in IEP meetings, contributing insights and recommendations Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate communication strategies and facilitate student engagement This contract opportunity offers the chance to build your professional skills while making a real difference in a supportive, education-focused environment near Cary, NC.
