Job Description

Certified Medical Assistant 2 Suntree Place, Melbourne, FL 32940 From $17 an hour
  • Full-time From $17 an hour
  • Full-time Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient service by assisting physicians and nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients.
  • Perform medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, and handling insurance forms.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including taking vital signs, obtaining medical history, and explaining treatment procedures.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures, such as collecting specimens and performing venipuncture.
  • Assist with X-ray procedures and maintain radiology equipment.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Assist with coding and billing processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
  • Proficient in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge.
  • Experience in medication administration.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Skills:
  • Patient care: Ability to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages.
  • Medical administrative support: Proficiency in managing medical records, scheduling appointments, and handling insurance forms.
  • X-Ray:
    Knowledge of radiology procedures and equipment maintenance.
  • Basic life support: Certification in BLS techniques for emergency situations.
  • Coding:
    Familiarity with medical coding systems for accurate billing purposes.
  • Medical terminology: Understanding of common medical terms and abbreviations.
  • Medication administration: Ability to safely administer medications according to healthcare provider instructions.
  • Anatomy knowledge: Understanding of human anatomy for accurate patient assessment.
  • Vital signs: Proficiency in measuring and recording vital signs accurately.
