Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, medical procedures, and administrative support within diverse clinical settings. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting physicians and enhancing patient experiences through attentive care and efficient practice management. Full-time hours Mon-Fri and 1 Saturday a month Duties Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, collecting patient histories, and assisting with examinations across outpatient and inpatient settings. Support physicians with procedures including medication administration, venipuncture, taking vitals Manage patient intake processes, ensuring accurate documentation of medical histories and presenting complaints. Maintain electronic health record (EHR) systems by updating patient information, coding diagnoses (ICD coding), and documenting treatment plans precisely. Assist with laboratory procedures, including specimen collection and processing for tests relevant to dermatology, internal medicine, or emergency medicine cases. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Skills Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology relevant to outpatient and inpatient care. Experience working within hospital medicine, urgent care, dermatology clinics, or emergency medicine environments. Familiarity with EHR systems and ICD coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes. Ability to perform clinical skills such as vital signs measurement, medication administration, venipuncture, ekgs, pulmonary function tests Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in fast-paced settings like Geriatrics clinics Excellent communication skills to foster positive interactions with patients of all ages including geriatrics Knowledge of medical-surgical procedures and experience supporting internal medicine practices or outpatient clinics is highly desirable.
