Practice Manager Position Summary:
The Medical Assistant works alongside a successful and dynamic group of Providers to support the clinical needs of the center.Essential duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for taking patients' vital signs, height, weight, and urine specimen and inputting values in EMR system. Responsible for obtaining/updating patients' chief complaint, allergies, medications, and medical history and transferring that information into the patient's EMR chart. In charge of prepping/stocking the exam rooms for patient visit/procedure. Accountable for cleaning exam rooms and tables in-between patients. Process orders and package specimens to send out to the labs. Scheduling and obtaining prior authorization for patients' radiology appointments. Sterilization of instruments in the morning, evening, and after patient procedures. Effectively triage patient calls in a timely manner. Maintain OSHA compliant lab utilizing protective personal equipment, completing OSHA logs, sterilizing medical equipment, and working in a safe manner at all times. Obtain patients' medical records from another provider on request. Other duties as assigned.Skills/qualifications:
- CMA or RMA required.
