What We Offer Novant Health Neurology & Sleep - Marvin Creek is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)!

Work Schedule:

Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm, Friday 8:00am-12:00pm The role of the CMA is to coordinate and assist a newly joining epileptologist to ensure safe, high-quality, and cost-effective care for the practice population What You'll Do Job responsibilities include: Room patients and obtain vital signs Assist with medical preparation and medication administration Process prescription refills Complete some prior authorizations Provide patient education on care and treatment plans Complete and process FMLA paperwork accurately and efficiently

What We're Looking For Education:

High School Diploma or GED, required. Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including:

• CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA)
• RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA)
• National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
• American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA).

If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement.

Experience:

Previous work in a medical office, preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required. Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required.

Additional skills required:
