Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive clinical and administrative skills, with experience in diverse medical settings such as dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and outpatient clinics. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing high-quality patient care across various specialties including emergency medicine, geriatrics, and medical-surgical units. The Certified Medical Assistant will support physicians and healthcare providers by performing vital clinical tasks and ensuring efficient clinic operations. Duties Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting patient information accurately Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates Assist with patient examinations and procedures in outpatient, inpatient, or emergency settings Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, ensuring comfort and understanding of procedures Administer medications and injections following proper protocols and under supervision when required Operate EHR systems efficiently to document clinical notes, ICD coding, and patient data securely Support physicians with diagnostic procedures such as X-ray imaging or basic laboratory tests in compliance with safety standards Assist with hospital-based activities including ICU (PICU), Level I & II trauma centers, or surgical units such as OR experience Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures, and ensuring a positive experience Maintain accurate documentation of medical records, including physiology knowledge, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing referrals, and coordinating follow-up care
