Position Overview As a Medical Assistant in our dermatology practice, you will play a vital role in supporting both patients and providers throughout the clinical experience. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, values teamwork, and is committed to practicing medicine the CLEAVER Way . Key Responsibilities Room patients and obtain accurate medical histories, medications, and vital signs. Act as a medical scribe during patient exams to ensure accurate documentation. Prepare patients for procedures, including administering local anesthetic (numbing). Perform venipuncture and collect laboratory specimens. Assist providers during both minor and major dermatologic surgical procedures. Maintain a clean and well-prepared clinical environment. Provide patient education and ensure comfort throughout their visit. Manage prescriptions and necessary paperwork. Support providers with follow-ups, biopsy tracking, and pathology coordination. Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and efficiency in all patient interactions. Collaborate with the care team to uphold clinical workflows and patient satisfaction. Returning patient phone calls. Must be able to travel. Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant, CDT, or LNP Prior dermatology or surgical assisting experience is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated candidates with a strong clinical background. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume setting. Strong communication and organizational skills. A team-oriented mindset with a dedication to patient care.
