Certified Medical Assistant- St. Francisville, LA (Daniel Clinic - Family Practice)

Job Type:

Full-time We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our team! You will work alongside our providers by: accurately collecting and documenting vital signs entering and updating patient demographics and medical history observing, recording and reporting (to physician) patient's condition and reaction to drugs and/or treatments accurately transcribing and documenting procedures and treatments performed by the healthcare provider preparing, stocking and cleaning exam rooms and maintaining supplies and equipment for treatment providing basic clinical care measures to all age groups assisting physician/nurse with patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks may perform medication administration with documented education under supervision of the physician

Expectations:

must be a driven, detailed oriented individual with initiative to accomplish tasks proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology and treatment assessment must possess above average typing skills must comply with HIPPA confidentiality standards when accessing and communicating patient information

Physical Requirements :

Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift using proper body mechanics.

Education:

High school diploma or GED equivalent

CMA Experience:

Minimum of one year clinical experience in a physician office setting previous EPIC experience is a plus!

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 40-hour-week One work location

$15.50 - $18.00 per hour
