coding, modifiers, have worked with electronic medical record software, and have a good understanding of disease process, anatomy/physiology, pharmacology and medical terminology. Candidate will have frequent interactions with physicians, non-physician providers and other clinical staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assigning diagnosis and procedure codes based on medical documentation and will communicate with the physician and clinical staff regarding insufficient or inconsistent documentation. We are seeking someone with great customer service skills who enjoys being part of a team. Experience in Oncology is preferred but not required. Responsibilities include : Review medical records and gather information to correctly enter all diagnosis codes into the patients electronic health record prior to their appointments. Provide feedback to providers as it pertains to proper coding and clinical documentation of services performed and to address any other documentation deficiencies. Reviewing claims when needed to correct diagnosis code errors on billing Reviewing records to assure the appropriate level of service is documented for and billed Understanding of Medicare (CMS) and Commercial insurance guidelines and policies Others duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Certified Hematology and Oncology Coder (CHONC) is required. A minimum of 1 year experience coding office visits and procedures Additional coding experience in Oncology/Hematology preferred
