Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; accurately document findings in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Support medical teams by preparing patients for procedures, assisting with medical documentation, and managing supplies using systems like Epic or Cerner. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, ensuring safety and emotional support through memory care techniques. Administer medications under supervision, perform catheter care, and assist with phlebotomy procedures following aseptic techniques. Support patients in post-acute care environments such as rehabilitation centers or skilled nursing facilities, including long-term care and hospice settings. Operate patient lifts like Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury and ensure patient comfort during transfers in accordance with safety protocols. Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing with relevant state licensing requirements. Demonstrated experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU, emergency medicine, Level I & II trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices including aseptic technique. Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation. Familiarity with patient service procedures including vital signs monitoring, medication administration, catheter care, and basic life support (BLS). Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs; experience caring for geriatric populations is highly valued. Strong communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to caregiving; ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
