Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Pay rate is based off of years of experience. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, accurately documenting all patient interactions. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper procedures are followed in accordance with HIPAA and medical protocols. Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare staff to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and proper use of equipment like Hoyer lifts. Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior promptly to the healthcare team for immediate action. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation of patient care activities. Requirements Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state regulations. Prior experience working in long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, or nursing homes is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS). Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is advantageous. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia or Alzheimer's disease, behavioral health needs, or those requiring hospice or palliative care. Strong communication skills coupled with compassion and patience when caring for patients of all ages—including pediatrics and geriatrics. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift patients safely using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices, and perform routine caregiving tasks efficiently.
