Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care across diverse medical settings. Your energy and attention to detail will ensure that patients receive respectful, personalized assistance that promotes comfort, safety, and well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of patient populations, including those in long-term care, acute hospitals, behavioral health facilities, and community-based care environments. As a CNA, you will be an essential part of the healthcare team, supporting licensed nurses and healthcare professionals in providing exceptional patient service. Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility to enhance comfort and independence. Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks. Support patient care plans by providing specialized services such as catheter care, wound dressing changes, and basic life support procedures. Help with patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts and ensure safe mobility for individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring assistive devices. Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in various settings including hospitals (ICU, trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and outpatient clinics. Participate in infection control practices using aseptic techniques during procedures such as phlebotomy or medication administration. Skills Proven experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with disabilities, dementia or Alzheimer's disease, and behavioral health needs. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for medical documentation and patient records management. Knowledge of physiology and anatomy to support accurate vital signs measurement and patient assessments. Ability to perform catheter care, wound management, and basic life support confidently in high-pressure environments like Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers. Experience in acute care settings such as ICU or emergency medicine units; familiarity with infection control protocols is essential. Skilled in using assistive devices including Hoyer lifts and working safely within aseptic techniques during invasive procedures. Strong caregiving skills demonstrated through compassionate patient service in long-term care facilities like nursing homes or assisted living communities. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and educate patients about their care plans while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
