Certified Nursing Assistant

Responsibilities Assist patients and residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, ensuring accurate medical documentation. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols. Maintain a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control procedures. Collaborate with nursing staff to deliver personalized care plans tailored to individual needs, including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and behavioral health support. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care or phlebotomy when trained and authorized. Document patient information accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks to ensure seamless communication across the care team. Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing. Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU, trauma centers, Level I & II trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care settings. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS). Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities; experience with dementia or Alzheimer's care is highly valued. Strong communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient service. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices; capable of standing or walking for extended periods.
