  • Contract Job Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients across various care settings.
In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, hands-on support to individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with developmental disabilities, and patients requiring specialized care such as memory or Alzheimer's care. Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates; accurately document findings using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper techniques and adherence to HIPAA regulations. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory impairments through tailored engagement and safety protocols. Use assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and perform catheter care, wound care, and other medical-surgical tasks following aseptic techniques. Collaborate with nursing staff on patient assessments, report changes in condition promptly, and assist during emergency situations including ICU or Level I Trauma Center scenarios. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care activities in compliance with healthcare standards. Skills Proven experience working with diverse populations including seniors, pediatrics, or individuals with disabilities in settings such as long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, hospitals, or home care environments. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for medical documentation. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and infection control practices including aseptic technique. Ability to perform phlebotomy procedures and manage complex patient needs like hospice or behavioral health care. Strong caregiving skills combined with critical thinking for acute care situations including ICU or emergency medicine environments. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health challenges; familiarity with dementia and memory care best practices. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA standards.
