Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to nursing staff and deliver high-quality patient care across diverse settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring accurate medical documentation in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper handling and adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support. Assist with catheter care, wound dressing changes, and aseptic techniques to prevent infection and promote healing. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), emergency medicine, or post-acute settings to deliver comprehensive patient service. Engage in patient education on health management, physiology basics, and safety procedures tailored to each individual's needs. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health challenges. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS). Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation. Experience in various healthcare environments including hospital medicine, long-term care facilities, hospice care, or outpatient clinics. Ability to perform phlebotomy procedures and DME (Durable Medical Equipment) management when required. Strong caregiving skills with a focus on geriatrics, pediatrics, or home & community care settings. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
