Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), supporting student growth and development in a vibrant educational environment near Texico, NM. This role allows you to facilitate positive change in students' lives while collaborating closely with an experienced Occupational Therapist and other dedicated professionals.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program Active state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Minimum of one year of recent experience, ideally in a school or pediatric setting Successful completion of a comprehensive background check Commitment to ongoing education and professional development as required by local and state guidelines
Responsibilities:
Provide direct client services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) Conduct therapeutic interventions tailored to students' academic and developmental requirements Monitor, document, and communicate students' progress, supporting goal adjustment in partnership with the OT Engage with educators, parents, and administrators to promote student achievement Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with district and state procedures Participate in training and professional growth activities to uphold best practices
