Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Make an impact in a supportive educational environment by providing key occupational therapy support to students. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you'll play a vital role in helping students thrive academically and developmentally, working closely with a licensed Occupational Therapist and collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program Valid state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) At least one year of recent experience, ideally in a school or pediatric setting Ability to pass a comprehensive background check Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education as required by state and district guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy interventions and activities under the direction of a licensed OT Implement individualized plans to help students meet educational and developmental objectives Monitor, document, and communicate student progress, adjusting interventions in collaboration with the OT Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support students' diverse needs Maintain accurate, confidential records in accordance with regulatory requirements Participate in professional development activities to enhance therapeutic skills
