Job Description
Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting preschool early intervention programs. This contract position offers the chance to deliver itinerant services throughout Carbon and Lehigh Counties, working closely with early learners and supporting them on their path to success. The main office is located centrally, while your role will serve multiple sites, offering both variety and opportunity to engage with a diverse student population. In this role, you'll thrive in an environment that values flexibility, as assignments may evolve between preschool and school-age caseloads throughout the school year. If you enjoy a dynamic schedule and working with children from PreK through grade 12, your skills will be put to great use.
What We're Looking For:
Active Pennsylvania COTA licensure and valid NBCOT certification Flexibility and readiness to work with children from PreK to grade 12 Prior experience with school-based occupational therapy and early intervention preferred Comfortable providing in-person services and traveling to multiple sites within the counties Organization and communication skills to manage itinerant schedules and documentationWhat You'll Do:
Deliver occupational therapy interventions in a variety of school and early intervention settings Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support students' functional goals Adapt therapy techniques for each student's individual needs and environments Document and report on student progress consistently and accurately Maintain professional standards in all interactions You'll work 35 hours per week, following a school or year-round Early Intervention calendar, with an assignment spanning into the 2026-2027 school year (tentatively).
