Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time role offers the chance to positively impact the lives of students while expanding your expertise in both healthcare and educational settings. You'll be supporting licensed occupational therapists and collaborating with school staff to foster an inclusive, supportive environment for student growth.
Key Qualifications:
Current certification as a COTA Experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy is highly preferred Working knowledge of IEP processes and documentation Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams Compassion, patience, and a commitment to student-centered care
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist occupational therapists in evaluating students and implementing therapy plans Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings Adapt and modify therapy techniques/materials to meet varying student needs Document student progress and contribute to IEP meetings as needed Encourage the development of fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills crucial for academic success Support classroom teachers by recommending strategies or accommodations Participate in ongoing professional development and training This contract position is perfect for professionals eager to make a difference during the 26/27 school year.
