About the Organization The Children's Specialty Clinic of the San Luis Valley (CSCSLV) is a nonprofit, led by a pediatrician and supported by volunteer board members including parents, specialists, and community advocates, with a mission to create a unique, multidisciplinary clinic that brings specialty care to children with complex medical and behavioral needs in the San Luis Valley. About the Position Join our passionate therapy team and make a difference in the lives of children and families in the San Luis Valley! We are seeking a dedicated COTA to provide high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy services under the supervision of our Occupational Therapist (OT). What You'll DO Provide direct occupational therapy services to children under the supervision of an OT, addressing motor, sensory, cognitive, and functional goals. Implement individualized treatment plans and adapt activities to meet each child's unique needs.
Monitor progress, document session notes, and communicate updates to the supervising OT. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary team members to support goal achievement and carryover of therapy strategies. Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and treatment planning discussions.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and comply with state, federal, and ethical standards.
Support a positive, organized, family-centered therapy environment. Pursue continuing education to maintain licensure and stay current with best practices. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Associate's degree or higher from an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Active COTA license in the relevant state. Knowledge of pediatric development, sensory processing, and evidence-based interventions. Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
Ability to implement treatment plans and interventions under OT supervision. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with pediatric populations.
Experience supporting children with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, developmental delays, or sensory processing challenges. Training or certification in specialized pediatric approaches (e.g., sensory integration, feeding therapy, handwriting intervention, DIR/Floortime).Experience providing therapy in school, clinic, or home-based settings. Bilingual or multilingual skills. Why Join Us? Compensation $50,000
