Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist
• COTA Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients
• COTA Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine patients' needs and goals
• COTA Help patients improve their motor skills, coordination, and functional abilities
• COTA Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and assistive devices
• Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Familiarity with occupational health, medical imaging, acute care, and pediatrics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Ability to adapt treatment techniques based on individual patient needs
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to develop effective treatment plans

Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is required for this position.
