Job Summary:

Requirements:

• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program.
• Valid state licensure or registration as required by local regulations.
• Experience working in diverse settings such as skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, inpatient units, or home health environments.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health principles, medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy relevant to patient care.
• Familiarity with care plans tailored for geriatrics, pediatrics, and general adult populations.
• Skills to assist with ADLs across various patient needs and mobility levels.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.

Job Duties:

• Assist licensed occupational therapists in developing and implementing personalized care plans focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs) and functional mobility.
• Provide hands-on therapy interventions to patients in various settings, including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health visits.
• Support patients in performing ADLs such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting to promote independence.
• Document patient progress accurately and timely in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and strategies to enhance safety and functional outcomes at home or in the community.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care that addresses medical imaging results, physiology considerations, and anatomy knowledge.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards during all patient interactions.
• Other duties as required.

Expected Hours:

20 - 40 per week.

Pay:

$36 to $40 per hour.
