Position Summary:
As an HHA or PCA at Bayshore, you will play a vital role in assisting our clients with their daily needs, promoting their independence, and enhancing their quality of life in the comfort of their own homes.
Responsibilities:
Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Assist with mobility, including walking, transfers, and repositioning. Prepare meals and assist with feeding as necessary. Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and other household duties. Monitor and document changes in clients' health and behavior. Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities. Follow care plans as directed by the care manager. Maintain clear communication with clients, families, and the Bayshore team.
Qualifications:
Valid HHA or PCA certification in New York State. Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required. Positive attitude, compassion, and a strong desire to help others. Reliable, punctual, and professional with excellent communication skills. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and supporting clients. Open availability, including weekends and holidays . Authorization to work in the United States.
