Person will work alongside of multiple agencies and organizations. Must have a flexible schedule in order to meet the needs of the individuals.

Responsibilities include:

The person hired for this position will be an individual with lived experience in mental health or co-occurring disorders, who is trained and certified or able to be trained and certified, to support others in their recovery journey. This person will provide mentoring, advocacy, and recovery planning in addition to promoting independence, employment, recreational activities and rehabilitation or persons with disabilities. This person will be expected to demonstrate good work habits, skills and behaviors while engaging in the CPS Program throughout the County of Greene.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must complete the Department-approved Certified Peer Specialist Training Must have high school diploma/GED Must have maintained at least 12 months of successful work or volunteer experience, or 24 hours accredited college credits Must meet the requirement of receiving treatment for a mental health diagnosis- currently or within past 12 months. Work experience in the mental health field preferred. Valid Driver's License /Clean Driving Record past three yrs. Must Pass Child Abuse History, FBI and Criminal Record Check Clearances.
