POSITION OVERVIEW

The Personal Trainer serves as a Brand Ambassador for Crunch Fitness by delivering exceptional training experiences that drive member results, client retention, and personal training revenue growth. Personal Trainers are responsible for building and maintaining a strong client base through outstanding service, accountability coaching, and effective fitness programming. Success in this role is measured by the trainer's ability to deliver results for clients while maintaining high levels of client retention, session productivity, and new client acquisition. Trainers help members achieve their goals through personalized exercise programming, lifestyle coaching, and ongoing support while promoting the value of professional coaching within the club.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Training & Results Delivery Deliver an exceptional first training experience for all introductory personal training clients. Develop and implement individualized training programs based on each client's goals, fitness level, and movement ability. Programs should incorporate resistance training, cardiovascular conditioning, mobility and corrective strategies when appropriate, and general nutrition and lifestyle guidance. Provide coaching, motivation, and accountability to ensure clients remain committed to their programs. Track client progress, monitor results, and adjust programs as necessary to ensure continued improvement. Demonstrate and reinforce safe and effective exercise technique at all times. Client Retention & Relationship Management Build strong, long-term relationships with clients to support high retention rates. Maintain consistent communication with clients through progress reviews and follow-ups. Establish clear expectations and accountability structures to keep clients engaged in their programs. Proactively identify opportunities to support client success and extend training relationships. Client Acquisition & Member Engagement Build relationships with members on the fitness floor to identify opportunities for coaching and personal training services. Educate members on the value of structured training programs and professional guidance. Deliver a high-quality Smart Start Kick Off experience for new members. Support club engagement activities including fitness seminars, boot camps, body composition assessments, and supplement or nutrition demonstrations. Convert member interest into personal training clients through consultations and assessments. Trainer Productivity & Business Ownership Personal Trainers are expected to take ownership of their training schedule and client base while contributing to the overall success of the club.

Responsibilities include:

Maintaining a consistent and organized training schedule. Actively managing and growing a personal training client base. Executing a Trainer Business Plan focused on client acquisition, retention, and service excellence. Delivering consistent service that supports strong client relationships and measurable results. Club Support & Professional Standards Maintain a clean, organized, and safe training environment. Assist with racking weights and maintaining the fitness floor. Support a welcoming and motivating club culture for all members. Represent the Crunch brand with professionalism and enthusiasm. Administrative Responsibilities Design and manage comprehensive fitness programs using company-provided tools. Schedule all training sessions, consultations, and administrative time through ABC/Datatrak systems. Maintain accurate records of client programming, attendance, and progress. Complete additional duties as assigned by club leadership.

SUCCESS METRICS

Successful Personal Trainers consistently demonstrate the following performance standards: Maintain 30 or more hours of weekly availability to support client scheduling. Achieve 90 percent or higher productivity during scheduled working hours.

Consistent acquisition of new personal training clients through member engagement and consultations. Delivery of measurable client results and positive member experiences that contribute to overall club success.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Candidates must hold one or more nationally recognized personal training certifications, including but not limited to: American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Personal Trainer Health Fitness Specialist American Council on Exercise (ACE) Personal Trainer Certification The Cooper Institute Personal Trainer Certification International Fitness Professionals Association (IFPA) Personal Fitness Trainer Certification National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association (NESTA) Personal Fitness Trainer Certification National Federation of Professional Trainers (NFPT) Personal Trainer Certification National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Personal Trainer Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)

Pay:

$15.00 - $50.00 per hour
