to join our team. The perfect candidate will be the key Pharmacy Technician Lead to help build the perfect team. This candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our home infusion-specialty pharmacy operations. This position requires a strong understanding of specialty medication administration, benefit determination, medical documentation and patient focused care. In this position you will work closely with pharmacists and collaborate with prescribers, nurses, and clinical coordinators to ensure timely and appropriate delivery of specialty therapies. Responsibilities Assisting the pharmacist in preparation of medications for patients for home infusion, including sterile compounding. Will oversee and build an intake team to facilitate new patient referrals in a timely manner. Helps resolve benefit inquiries while assisting the RCM team with authorizations insurance verification and patient assistance programs. Prepare medications and supplies for infusion administration and delivery. Assists in the setting up of the compounding room, equipment, and supplies for preparation of compounded sterile solutions, using aseptic technique. Perform patient outreach to ensure correct, timely and effective medication use. Maintain accurate records of medication inventory, ensuring proper stock levels are maintained. Serves as a resource in the specialized area for other pharmacy team members, physicians, nurses, and ancillary departments. Problem solves complex problems and ensures that issues are escalated and closed as needed. Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies including state, federal, USP 797, ACHC and CMS requirements related to pharmacy operations. Leadership and mentoring of new employees and teams within the business Experience National Pharm Tech Certification (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board PTCB or ExCPT. Hold a current pharmacy technician license in Illinois. 2+ years related experience in specialty medication and home infusion 1+ year in sterile compounding preferred.

Salary:

$30
