Job Description

About us Pay is $35 to $45, DOE. Qualifications for on-site Subcontractor safety representatives. (Proposed Subcontractor Safety Representatives shall have a minimum of one of the following qualifications: 1. Degree in Occupational Safety. 2. Certified Safety Professional (CSP). 3. Associate Safety Professional (ASP) with 1-3 years' documented safety experience. 4. Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) or Construction Safety and Health Technician (CHST) certification wit 2-3 years of experience in field providing safety duties. 5. 5-10 years' documented full time safety experience (100% safety work). List of projects where person was a full time safety professional. Their only was to ensure the safety of the workers, visitors, and company. Description of what the duties entailed and how well they were accomplished. Reference letters from contractors or project owners where they were responsible for safety of the personnel would help determine this. 6. Specialized training for specialized activities (High risk, diving, high voltage).
Examples of acceptable safety experience:
a. Knowledge of
EM-385, DOE 851, OSHA/MSHA/ANSI/NFPA
regulations. Understand and determine actions in the field and how they compare to the regulations. Being able to act as a resource for how OSHA regulations apply to work in the field, (i.e., fall protection, excavation confined space, Fire protection and the NFPA, and so on). b. Writing/implementing safety programs. Examples of projects safety plans, written. c. Development of Activity Hazard Analysis & Site Specific Safety Plans. d. Developing criteria for assessments. e. Performing inspections. This must be documented; Safety Inspections with proof of items found and fixed while in field. This should also account for difficulties in tasks which would require Safety oversight because of elevated hazards that would be encountered or a change in the area as hazard recognition. f. Accident investigations. Types of accidents investigated and recommendations for elimination. g. Hazard Analysis Process. Must be a US Citizen. Pre-Employment Medical & Drug Screening Required. Must be able to provide evidence of citizenship with original documentation.
