Back to Careers Medical Surgical Certified Surgical Tech Full Time Sharon, PA Apply Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Surgical Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting surgical teams during procedures, ensuring the operating room is prepared and maintained to the highest standards. This position requires a strong understanding of surgical procedures, patient care, and aseptic techniques, along with the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures. Assist surgeons and other medical staff during operations by providing necessary instruments and supplies. Collect and document data related to patient care and surgical outcomes. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean operating environment. Monitor patients' vital signs before, during, and after surgery. Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including suturing when necessary. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems for accurate documentation of medical records. Stay current with hospital policies, procedures, and best practices related to surgical care. Skills Graduate of accredited school of Surgical Technology. Minimum of 1-year perioperative experience. CST certification is required. BLS required from AHA or Red Cross. Proficient in data collection and analysis skills relevant to surgical procedures. Familiarity with medical-surgical nursing principles and acute care settings. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and infection control measures.
