About the Job Our client has over six decades of expertise in underground construction and is a recognized leader in the field. They are committed to quality, safety, and efficiency while addressing the evolving needs of urban development, transportation, and environmental sustainability. Position Overview Our client is seeking a highly qualified Welding Inspector with advanced certifications in welding inspection and non destructive testing (NDT). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural steel inspection, welding quality control, and multiple NDT methods. Required Certifications and Qualifications
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
ASNT NDT
Level II Certification (Ultrasonic Testing and Magnetic Particle Testing)
  • Certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) - Level II or III
  • ICC Structural Welding Special Inspector
  • ICC Structural Steel and Bolting Special Inspector Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections of welded assemblies to ensure compliance with AWS, ASME, and project specifications
  • Conduct or oversee NDT methods including UT, MT, and PT
  • Interpret radiographic and ultrasonic test results
  • Verify welder qualifications and welding procedures (WPS and PQR)
  • Maintain inspection documentation and reports
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field crews
  • Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards Preferred Experience
  • 5 plus years of welding inspection and NDT experience
  • Experience with structural steel, piping, or heavy civil construction
  • Strong understanding of ASNT standards
  • Prior experience in Level II or supervisory NDT roles Skills and Competencies
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
