Job Description:
Our client, a private school, based in Wilton CT, is looking for a CFO & Director of Operations. Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership across finance, accounting, and long-range financial planning
  • Oversee campus operations, including facilities, transportation, and risk management
  • Lead human resources functions, including compliance and policy implementation
  • Partner closely with the Head of School and Board of Trustees on strategy and governance
  • Supervise and support a small operations team responsible for daily execution
  • Drive special projects and cross-functional initiatives that advance the school's mission Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field (MBA, CPA, or equivalent preferred)
  • 7-10+ years of progressive leadership experience in finance and operations
  • Experience in independent schools, nonprofits, or mission-driven organizations strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls
  • Working knowledge of HR practices, risk management, and compliance
  • Proven ability to manage multiple functional areas and balance strategic and operational priorities
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and boards
