Chaplain (Full-time)

For 115 years, God has been using the Mission to reach hearts and change lives. It starts with emergency shelter for men, women and children experiencing homelessness - but that is just the beginning. While with us, residents participate in holistic, gospel-centered services that include chapel, case management, group counseling, workforce development and job training. In short, our staff are City Missionaries offering help and hope to all people through the transforming power of God's love. Right now, we are looking to add a full-time Chaplain to our team. The Chaplains deliver pastoral care and promote spiritual well-being for the men, women and children served by the Mission through crisis intervention for those who have experienced significant stress and trauma. You'll provide chapel and on-campus worship services while also engaging with churches in the community. You'll also provide spiritual care for both resident/clients and staff while creating and delivering spiritual formation initiatives. We are looking for pastors with the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in theology, Biblical studies, human services, social science or a related field (required) Master's in Divinity or Theology (preferred) Minimum of 5 years direct experience in ministry, chaplaincy, or counseling Ministerial ordination by an accredited organization Before clicking "apply," here's the fine print: If you are qualified for this role, then you already know ministry work is challenging.
