Chef de Partie Mono Inn | Mono Lake, CaliforniaMono Inn is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team and contribute to a refined tasting menu experience at our destination restaurant overlooking Mono Lake in California's Eastern Sierra.
Led by Chef Jason Custer, Mono Inn offers a refined tasting menu guided by seasonality, thoughtful sourcing, and a connection to the landscapes of the American West. With over a century of fine dining history, the Inn continues to evolve while honoring its legacy as one of California's most distinctive dining destinations. From the first point of contact to the final moments of service, each element is intentional, executed with precision, consistency, and care. Each front of house role requires contribution and shared responsibility to the entire team and to the guest experience as a whole; whether supporting the flow of service, stewarding guest interactions, maintaining the dining room environment, or contributing to the evolution of the food and beverage program.

The RoleAs Chef de Partie, you are responsible for the preparation, execution, and consistency of your station within the tasting menu. This position requires focus, organization, and a disciplined approach to technique and service.
ResponsibilitiesExecute all dishes from your station with precision, consistency, and attention to detailMaintain organization, cleanliness, and readiness of your station at all timesContribute to daily prep, service, and breakdown with efficiency and careWork closely with the Chef and team on menu development and seasonal transitionsSupport the broader kitchen and assist wherever needed to ensure a cohesive serviceUphold standards of quality, technique, and presentation across all aspects of the menuIdeal CandidateExperience in a fine dining or tasting menu environment preferredStrong foundation in culinary technique and kitchen organizationAbility to work cleanly, efficiently, and with attention to detailA collaborative mindset and respect for team-based serviceA genuine interest in hospitality as a long-term professionWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly wage plus tips (Starting $20 hr)Staff meals during serviceHands-on mentorship and training within a tasting menu kitchenOpportunities for creative contribution over timeClear growth path within the pastry program4-5 service work weekHousing available for qualified candidatesWork in one of California's most extraordinary landscapesLife in the Eastern SierraMono Inn sits at the gateway to the Eastern Sierra wilderness, minutes from Yosemite National Park and the mountain town of Mammoth Lakes.
