Reservations & Guest Experience Specialist (Host / FOH Support)Mono Inn | Mono Lake, CaliforniaMono Inn is seeking exceptional professionals to join our team and help shape every aspect of the guest experience at our destination restaurant overlooking Mono Lake in California's Eastern Sierra.
Led by Chef Jason Custer, Mono Inn offers a refined tasting menu guided by seasonality, thoughtful sourcing, and a connection to the landscapes of the American West. With over a century of fine dining history, the Inn continues to evolve while honoring its legacy as one of California s most distinctive dining destinations.
From the first point of contact to the final moments of service, each element is intentional, executed with precision, consistency, and care.
Each front of house role requires contribution and shared responsibility to the entire team and to the guest experience as a whole; whether supporting the flow of service, stewarding guest interactions, maintaining the dining room environment, or contributing to the evolution of the food and beverage program.
We hold a deep respect for hospitality, and for those committed to it as a career, we provide a defined trajectory for development and leadership as our concept evolves.

The RoleThe Reservations & Guest Experience Specialist role is the first and last impression of the Mono Inn experience, responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations, and supporting the dining room team to ensure a seamless flow of service.
This position blends gracious guest interaction with strong organizational awareness, helping maintain the rhythm of service while supporting both front of house and kitchen teams.
Reservations & Guest Experience Specialist play a key role in setting the tone of the evening, guiding arrivals, managing pacing, and assisting service staff wherever needed to uphold the highest standards of hospitality.
Team members participate in ongoing wine tastings, service education, and professional development.
ResponsibilitiesGreet guests with warmth and professionalism, creating a welcoming first impressionManage reservations, seating, and guest flow throughout serviceCommunicate clearly with the dining room and kitchen to support pacingProvide thoughtful guidance to guests upon arrival, including menu format and timingAscertain and communicate allergies and dietary restrictions to entire teamMaintain an organized and composed host stand and entry areaAssist service team with running food, resetting tables, and supporting transitionsAnticipate guest needs and contribute to a smooth and coordinated dining experienceHandle guest inquiries and special requests with care and attentionSupport a positive, focused, and collaborative team environmentIdeal CandidateSome experience in hospitality or guest-facing roles preferredStrong organizational and communication skillsA natural sense of warmth, presence, and professionalismAbility to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environmentInterest in fine dining and tasting menu serviceDeep respect for hospitality as a craftWillingness to learn and support all areas of serviceWe are especially interested in candidates who approach hospitality as a craft and are committed to continuous learning.
